About

Bruton Resort Kodaikanal

Step into timeless charm at Bruton Resorts, a heritage colonial retreat in the heart of Kodaikanal. Nestled close to the iconic Kodai Lake, our resort blends historic Indo‑Saracenic architecture with modern comforts, offering guests a truly unique stay.

A Legacy of History

The history of modern Kodaikanal starts from the year 1845 by American Missionaries and British Civil servants. Only a handful of colonial architecture buildings dating back from that period still stand to this day, witnessing the development and progress of Kodaikanal for over 15 decades. Bruton Resort is among those rare structures.

The colonial structure of Bruton Resorts has been well maintained since the laying of the foundation stone of the Kodaikanal observatory in 1895. Dr. John Evershed, a renowned British Astronomer, lived here before and after his great astronomical discoveries in 1909. Come and enjoy the Indo-Saracenic architecture nestled close to the lake.

Comfort & Hospitality

Our property is thoughtfully maintained by skilled staff, ensuring every guest enjoys warm hospitality and personalized service. With well‑appointed rooms, landscaped gardens, a restaurant, and free private parking, Bruton Resorts is designed for both relaxation and convenience. Safety is our priority, with fire safety measures, first aid, and round‑the‑clock security in place.
